One of our favorite places to go near Prague when the weather’s nice is Srbsko. It’s a small village five kilometers away from the town of Karlštejn where the Karlštejn Castle is, as you might already know. This castle is the most visited one outside Prague. Hundreds of day trippers arrive there in cars and buses for sightseeing, in complete contrast to the activities happening in Srbsko. Here the outdoorsy and sports enthusiasts go to enjoy what nature has to offer.
On Srbsko:
There’s a paved road along Berounka river where you can go running, biking, rollerblading, or just walking. This road connects to other small villages but we only walked from Srbsko to Tětín and back which was a total of about 5 kilometers. This area is also getting popular among rock climbers. We were there around 7 pm on a national holiday and there were still few climbers up to task and some already resting after having their mission accomplished. That’s my husband in white shirt goofing around as if he’s climbed a great deal of that massive rock. 🙂
Berounka is also a haven for those who like canoeing or fishing. I think the water is cold for swimming though, but when it’s over 30°C, it’s tempting to jump even in freezing water.
When you’re at Srbsko, don’t forget to stop by at Restaurance U Berounky. They have the best malinovka or raspberry juice I’ve ever had.
On the butterfly sleeves top:
Yes, I’ve blogged about this top before. It’s such a favorite of mine I could wear it all the time in summer, and write about it often as well, haha. It’s just the perfect top for this extremely hot July weather. I love how it’s loose and comfortable yet it subtly emphasizes your shape. This top gets admiring looks from the ladies whenever I wear it. They’re clearly wondering where I bought it. Such is the beauty of sewing your own clothes. There’s never an awkward moment of being in the same place with someone wearing the same clothes as you.
