The town of Pruhonice is about 6 kilometers outside Prague. I don’t even really consider it outside of Prague because it feels like it’s just in our backyard. It’s a 15-minute drive from our place and it’s also very accessible by bus.
To get there by car, take the D1 direction Brno till you see the exit for Pruhonice and Uhrineves. By bus, metro Opatov line C then take either bus number 363 or 385.
Entrance fee: Adult 50 kc, Children, Retiree, Students 25 kc, Family 100 kc.
The last time we were here was in spring of 2009. It’s been one of my favorite parks in the country since then.
Weddings can be held here. I think this place is perfect for romantic occasions.
Here you can get all the personal space you want. It’s also ideal for walks, runs and family bonding activities
Few meters away from the pond and the château, we found an ideal place for a picnic. Out came the basics: food, water, straw mats, followed by a blanket. Since I go all the way with packing, we also had cushions to complete the set.
This is my idea of a perfect day; to be close to nature, to share such moments with someone important in my life, to just be there in silence, grateful to be given the chance to live and to love.
